SEEKING MULTIFAMILY RENOVATION SUPERINTENDENT


WASHINGTON – SEATTLE/TACOMA/FEDERAL WAY


The Project Superintendent supervises the field construction of a project, including its organization, planning, and scheduling. This role is responsible for ensuring work is completed on time, on budget, and to the quality standard specified. In the performance of this function, the Superintendent is responsible for protecting and promoting the interest of URC West in all matters and to take required actions to satisfy the duties of the position. 


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Schedule and host pre-construction meeting
  • Developing on-site plans and procedures for the field operations
  • Developing and tracking all PCO and CO documentation with the office
  • Developing and maintaining the Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) program
  • Coordinating and monitoring the activities of subcontractors, suppliers, labor, and materials
  • Planning and reviewing the construction Logistics program with the Project Executive including procedures, plant layout, equipment, and manpower
  • Budget tracking, ensuring that the work is performed within the boundaries of the job estimate
  • Creating and updating progress schedules as well as weekly progress reports to client
  • Establishing and maintaining good safety and security practices for the entire project
  • Preparing regular and special reports for job meetings and hosting those meetings
  • Training the URC workforce and administering the field-office
  • Sort, match, and file invoices upon receipt from vendors and/or subcontractors
  • Request approval and signature for processing and issuance of payments
  • Code, allocate, enter, and post invoices/payments in appropriate folders and systems


Education and Experience

  • At least 3 years of multifamily construction experience.
  • At least 5 years experience in a construction supervision position, including experience in all trades
  • At least 3 years of MS Excel experience
  • Ability to interpret plans and schedule accordingly
  • Strong reading and comprehension skills
  • Ability to understand and enforce scopes of work
  • Proper telephone etiquette possesses accurate grammar and punctuation in all correspondence and reports
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
  • Has highly developed organizational skills, is detailed oriented, and can follow through with all job-specific requirements as changes demand
  • Identify/troubleshoot potential schedule or project impacts and issues

The employee is required to perform heavy lifting up to 50 lbs on a regular basis. 


While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
