Accounting Clerk – Carlsbad, CA


Summary

The Accounting Clerk will perform routine clerical, filing, and data entry tasks within a fast- paced accounting department while adhering to established standards


Duties and Responsibilities

 •  Conduct routine data entry management for accounting records

 •  Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department

 •  Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records

 •  Enter key data of financial transactions in database on a daily basis

 •   Assist with monthly financial reporting for multiple projects

 •  Assist in reviewing all accounts payable checks

 •  Review billing statements, invoices, and similar documents for accuracy; alert

supervisory staff of any discrepancies

 •   Special Projects and additional requirements as required by management


Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

 •   Ability to accurately and efficiently enter data

 •  Basic aptitude for numbers

 •  Proficient in Microsoft Office suite

 •  Familiarity with Sage 300 and Procore preferred

 •  Exceptional verbal communication skills

 •  Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines

 •  Ability to work collaboratively with teams across departments

 •  Effective time management skills

 •  Ability to work well with management and staff, as well as partners, clients, and

contractors

 •  Accuracy and attention to detail
